    Michelle is 3 months old!
Call her by her nickname "Kunjaava" and she will look at me and smile so adorably that it makes my heart melt!

Little Michelle has begun to recognize a few people now..... and gifts then with that wonderful toothless smile when she does..... the people being my mother, father, hubby and me.

In the meantime, my days of rest are coming to an end. As of tomorrow, hubby would take me and baby back to our own place. Now is the testing time for this new mamma.

The Michelle - Ceiling Fan love story!!!
Michelle is now 2 and a half months old and totally in love with all the ceiling fans in the house. Make her lie down anywhere, including her pram and she just can't take her eyes off the fan.

If we were able to understand baby language, i could've put up dialogues for a love story. She spends her time talking (cooing and gurgling) and smiling at the fan.

So much so, that sometimes i wish i were the fan!!!

Current Mood: (envious of the ceiling fan!!)

    Michelle is 2 months old!
First announcement in this journal of our little girl Michelle....... the angel in the userpic is her of course!

She was born on 28th of May, 2007 and turned a complete 2 months as of yesterday!

Today after hubby and i made her lie on her tummy, she suprised us by actually lifting her head a little and turning to the other side!!!

People at home just had to say..... "This is just the beginning...... There is lots more for us to see and hear."

Must say..... feels good to be a Mommy!

    Shoot It!
Hubby and I are planning to get ourselves a Camcorder. And we are so confused right now by options. HDD, DVD, High Definition and what not.

In fact, we are wondering whether it would be a better bet to just get ourselves a good digital SLR camera instead.

Please help by providing inputs on Brand, format and storage based on your experience or knowledge. I would really appreciate quick replies as i have less than 4 days to pick one and buy it!!

    Choosing a mobile
I am looking for a mobile.... nothing very fancy.

    Basic Requirements:
    1. Should be able to make and take calls. (Of course!)
    2. Should look good.
    3. Camera (not a must)
    4. Easy to use.
    5. Hardy.
    6. Not more than 10K.
    7. Should be good to play games on. (I don't want bulky mobiles only intended to play games on!)

So.... I heard the Motorola V3 is a good phone. Let me know if there is any reason why i should not buy it.

And I guess in a week's time, if that is what i decide, then Raghav.... I guess i will be asking you to help so that I get a 25% off.... Isn't that right?

    :-)

Update - Roni and I picked up a Sony Erricson 700i..... Thanks for the inputs.... but when i held the V3i in my hand, I quite didn't like it's looks.

Men May Come and Men May Go.....
"For men may come and men may go, But I go on for ever."

That is from "Brook Song" by Lord Alfred Tennyson.... I somehow remember that from school days poetry lessons.

Anyways... of late a lot of people i know have been changing jobs, moving away, etc and for some reason, like the poem says, it seems to me that i am constant (in the fact that i have been where i am for a long time and no intentions of changing right now) while everybody else is making the decision to change (read changing jobs).

Today, a good friend who is serving his last week here tells me "Milin don't leave this place. It is a good place". The irony of it all.... He goes on to say that a lot of people he has spoken to regret their change due to a drastic change in work culture....

I am not the best judge.... after all i have seen only one "work culture".

What do people hold most important when it comes to professional life??
Is it a good career path? Colleagues? The work environment? The manager? The recognition? The Kind of work?

    And WHY?

    And.....
    Your Hidden Talent

You are a great communicator. You have a real way with words.
You're never at a loss to explain what you mean or how you feel.
People find it easy to empathize with you, no matter what your situation.
When you're up, you make everyone happy. But when you're down, everyone suffers.

    Energetic about work these days!
A very recent joinee in the global group of coders / developers and to my big suprise, i think i quite like it. I have been involved in a project of late where i had to code in Java.... ok not big time stuff.... little things..... but for me it was a start of all sorts.

And these days i can't seem to keep track of how time flies.... in office from about 10:00am to about 8:00pm on an average.... attending calls at 7:00pm..... hmmm

    Talk about changes!

    Changes....... do i like it??
Yes.... I know that "The only constant in the universe is change". But do i really like changes??

    Personal life
We will be shifting house early next year. A new home, a new life.... exciting.... but the fact that i may not be all that capable of managing a home is making me think that i might not love it. Of course, when i do get capable, I will totally enjoy it or just tire out doing housework and then office stuff and then housework again.

    Professional life
Amazingly big changes are happening here. People i have been friends with for over two and a half years are now moving on. And not one by one, but in a group! They say it just opens up opportunities in my life. But when i can't predict what will happen, changes scare the life out of me.

I believe i am not the only one who feels like this. Even if no one else feels this way..... I really couldn't care. Simple fact remains "I AM SCARED OF CHANGES!".

Your brain: 80% interpersonal, 120% visual, 100% verbal, and 100% mathematical!
Congratulations on being 400% smart! Actually, on my test, everyone is. The above score breaks down what kind of thinking you most enjoy doing. A score above 100% means you use that kind of thinking more than average, and a score below 100% means you use it less. It says nothing about how good you are at any one, just how interested you are in each, relatively. A substantial difference in scores between two people means, conclusively, that they are different kinds of thinkers.

Matching Summary: Each of us has different tastes. Still, I offer the following advice, which I think is obvious:

    1. Don't date someone if your interpersonal percentages differ by more than 80%.
    2. Don't be friends with someone if your verbal percentages differ by more than 100%.
    3. Don't have sex with someone if their math percentage is over 200%.

My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

free online dating free online dating
You scored higher than 75% on interpersonal

free online dating free online dating
You scored higher than 82% on visual

free online dating free online dating
You scored higher than 83% on verbal

free online dating free online dating
You scored higher than 66% on mathematical

    Something really nice....
There's a story in each of us
    that's for sure
    One never knows
    what another endures

    In today's world
    things are kind of tough
But for the poor and hungry
    it will always be rough

So there's a story in each of us
    you can't tell by looking
    Your neighbor might be sad
    your co-worker might be lonely

    Offer someone a smile
    it costs you nothing
You'll get a smile back, I dare to say
and that, for sure, will drive your own blues away.
